Too Much Hypocrites in dat Church

It appears, when inviting someone to your church, the probability of them attending your church is solely dependent on the quantity of hypocrites who already attend your church.

I  few years ago, a very good friend of mine, who was serving in ministry in a church, suddenly up and left. When I questioned what the reason was, the response was “up there have too much hypocrites”.

Now allow me to set the record straight, whether you choose to go by Benjie, Gloria, B.J, Sharplis, Second Zion Baptist, Olivet Baptist, Anglican, Mormons, Zet, Pastor Commodore, Pastor Romain, Wallace,  Hilton, or in the Kingdom Hall, there will be hypocrites there. It is absolutely inevitable that everywhere you go, there will be a few.

If your desire is to find a place to worship where it’s “hypocrite exempt”, then you better be in a place all by yourself, bearing in mind you too go through your personal hypocrisy.

Church attendance wouldn’t guarantee you a spot in heaven, righteousness will. Remember that.

Let us be selfish, focus on the father when we are in church, and not our fellow brothers and sisters that surrounds us. For God is coming back for individuals, not churches.

Mathew 23:

27 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

Now if you have not in your lifetime, identified with that verse personally, hallelujah for that.

God says in Isa. 9:17: “… for everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.”

So let us all concentrate on our own little strongholds, and help the other “hypocrites” with theirs, for God is not coming for the church you attend, but right standing individuals.

I think that “church is full of hypocrites” line is so ridiculous. as stated above church is a place for sinners…if we were not sinners we would not need a savior or church! y do people expect Christians to b perfect? we are in a world of sin no one is perfect…you go to work and there are SO MANY hypocrites there, however that does not stop anyone from going to work because you are working to better your self..when you go to church its not for anyone..but just to better your self !

the whole point of the article is that we all need to find a place of worship with our whole heart and stop using hypocrisy as excuses to avoid God, because we are depriving no one but our selves.
We should fear God and turn away from our wicked ways/repent and seek the kingdom first.
Listen:I have invited someone to church sometime ago who has been dear to my heart, but said no he can not.I asked why and he said that it is against the kingdom hall norms to worship anywhere else.Thou he beliefs in the same god and and leaves a christian life.his only offence to my belief is that speaking in tongues is none sense.whats up with that?well, anyway all i did was put it to rest and respect his turf and ask him to do the same….some things you gotta let go.

Church is a place for sinner, humans, bla bla, none is righteous and so on. Now I need you to also respect the fact that some people are just not interested in assembling with you. While it is good to congregate in the lord, it does not secure you a place in heaven so ease up on the folks who chose not to congregate, you are not better than them not by a longgggggg shot.

i think too many people are using the hypocrite card as an excuse to get away from church. sad enough, church is a place for sinners to assemble, many with all manner of sin and flaws.with that said,i want someone to take me to a church without sinful individuals and hypocrites. again as the writer of the article said when God comes his not coming for NO church, but the righteous INDIVIDUALS of the church. I’m not going to miss out on my opportunity to fellowship because of no hypocrite. listen this is between you and God, its all about your relationship with God, why would you allow another sinful being like you to hider spiritual union with God. this is a song that i love, and it reminds me that hey at the end of the day its my business with the Lord. by Dave Hollister- church. I don’t care how the preacher spends all the money
don’t care if the choir director is funny
(I Really don’t care) The only thing that matter is (this)
Is my business with the Lord.
I don’t have no heaven or hell to put nobody in
Every day I try my best to make it in
(That’s why) The only thing that matter is (this)
Is my business with the Lord. this is just the chorus CAN CHECK IT OUT

that is so true. i mean just even saying that u are among hypocrites, u are sinning as-well , because at that time u are being proud and god seeks a humble heart. so if u are humble, you wouldn’t seek to move away from the “hypocrites”, you will seek to help them.
nice piece dri, good reminder for us Christians

well j.l u answered right. some ppl believe that them pastors on the pulpit and them priest in the churches are gods. what they fail to realize is that we humans whether we hold some kinda big position in the church or not, we all have flaws. i.e things we do from time to time that can draw us away from god. but thank god for his grace and mercy that we are able to come to him in pray and ask for 4giveness. so talking about hypocrites, we all got to check our selves cuz we tend to be our biggest deceiver. we deceive our own self. so check our selves and doe check ppl. none of us not gods we will make mistakes even those on the pulpit. advice: find a place of worship and worship God. not man. we all r hypocrites. peace

@MR Man. I think the writer of the article intended to make everyone look at themselves and evaluate their own spirituality. It makes us look at our life and relationship with Jah and whether we are obeying his word or not. passages such as Hebrews 10:23-32 that talks about not forsaking the assembly of the saints is open to your own interpretation.
Finally I saw the article saying that all of the churches are going to have hypocrites and to NOT attend ANY church whatsoever using ‘hypocrites’ as an excuse is failing to realize that you yourself are a hypocrite in one way or another.

so what happens if the leader of the church is the bigger hypocrite, and his life is not truly upstanding, and the only time he really shows his true self is on his pulpit?

Plus all his Handpicked leaders of the church got skeletons in the closet.
